Dioxins Testing

Our Dioxins Testing facilitates clients with extremely accurate measurements of these very harmful toxins thanks to our high-resolution and triple quat MS systems.

Following the release of new research after 2001, a new human health limit for dioxins and DL-PCBs was set by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) in 2018. The combined tolerable weekly intake (TWI) has been set at 2 picograms per kilogram of body weight (a picogram is one millionth of a millionth of a gram). This TWI is much lower than it was before.

NofaLab is able to trace very small amounts of both dioxins and PCBs in your products. We have both a GC-HRMS (DFS) and a TQXS to conduct this analysis. These high-resolution and triple quat MS systems are extremely sensitive and have a double focusing system. By using electronic ionization and the magnetic sector we can determine the mass by 4 significant digits.
