Molecular Biology Testing

Our Molecular Biology Testing service employs both conventional culture techniques and rapid methods to provide you with the most accurate results in the shortest time frame possible.

For some pathogenic bacteria like Salmonella, Listeria or Cronobacter we use RT-PCR methods to shorten the TAT for our customers. But in case results prove positive by this technique, we have to go back to the classic microbiology methods to confirm these results.

Besides testing for pathogenic bacteria with RT-PCR we also perform several GMO analyses.
Screening for GMO with an accreditation for 35S, NOS, PAT, FMV, NPTII, CTP2:CP4 EPSPS, BAR, CryIAb.

We have an extensive list for detection of various genetically modified varieties (GMO) for Corn, Canola and Soy under a flexscope accreditation in food, food ingredients, feed and feed ingredients . Such as: Bt11, RT73, T45, MON810, NK603, A2704-12, DAS44406-6. The complete list is available upon request with our customer service.

Quantification on GMO events: Roundup Ready 1 [GTS 40-3-2] and Roundup Ready 2 [MON-89788]
These events can be analysed in food, food ingredients, feed and feed ingredients. Furthermore, NofaLab received VLOG recognition for GMO testing as per 11 September 2023.

Authenticity testing with RT-PCR, such as analysing traces of corn, pork or chicken.
Authenticity testing for Ruminant DNA in feed and feed ingredients, is under accreditation.
